RETIREMENT REALITY CENTER
Retirement decisions are often shaped by assumptions, fear, anecdotes, and outdated numbers.
The purpose is to help people understand what the evidence actually shows.
The Retirement Reality Center will help people examine the facts behind the choices that can shape retirement, including housing, location, healthcare, living costs, purchasing power, safety, transportation, and use of assets.
The purpose is not to tell people what decision to make.
How housing, inflation, taxes, insurance, food, transportation, and other major expenses affect what retirement income can actually provide.
Renting versus buying, downsizing, home equity, relocation costs, and how location can influence the retirement experience.
Healthcare access, insurance considerations, transportation, emergency planning, community, and the realities of everyday living.
Safety, legal questions, property ownership, immigration, currency changes, cross-border logistics, and other factors that should not be ignored.
Whenever practical, RetireFurther will identify:
We will distinguish between verified data, estimates and projections, personal experiences, opinions, and working hypotheses.
Outdated or incomplete information will not be presented as certainty.
Evidence should improve a decision – not manufacture one.
The Retirement Reality Center should answer the questions retirees are actually asking, not only the questions RetireFurther assumes are important.
Community members will be invited to suggest topics, identify concerns, participate in surveys, and help determine which reports should be developed first.
Join the Retirement 2.0 Community to receive new Reality Center reports and help shape future research.
